Holliston Photographer's Carnival Memories
Growing up in Holliston the carnival has always been a special event. The beginning of summer. As a child I lived downtown and use to walk there with my friends and run wild, hopped up on cotton candy and soda.
I would be the first one there and the last to leave on bracelet night. In high school I went for the ferris wheel and fireworks. In college I came back for the fried dough. Now I don't even need to go on the rides, I just try to capture the feeling and the excitement with my camera. I still have just as much fun as when I was a kid, the carnival hasn't changed. I see it with the same eyes and I get to share it now.
Dominic Casserly was born and raised in Holliston. He graduated from Massachusetts College of Art and recently New England School of Photography. He's a full time artist, Photographing and building sculptures around the country. In his spare time he travels, swims and enjoys hot pastrami sandwiches from the Superette.
