After poring over the data and statistics, we're convinced that Holliston has fiscal responsibility down.

An open, civil debate about the merits of a proposed Proposition 2 1/2 override is an expected and essential part of the political process.

It is our job to provide as much information as we can, so that voters can make the most educated decision possible.

On May 25, Holliston will head to the polls to make some very difficult decisions.  The issue receiving the majority of the attention is the Proposition 2 ½ override. 

For the last three years Holliston has been cutting back on education expenses.  Indeed, for the last 9 years the school budget has effectively dropped .5% after inflation. 

The Holliston Council On Aging (COA) wishes to place in proper context the correctly reported statement in the Metrowest Daily News that the Holliston COA "did not want" money that was added to Senior Center operations in the override amount crafted by the Holliston Board of Selectmen.
